Prayers

Five Fingers of Prayer
The Thumb - The Nearest To You:
Begin your prayers by praying for those closest to you. They are the easiest to remember. To pray for our loved ones is, as C.S. Lewis once said, a "sweet duty."
The Pointing Finger - Our Teachers:
Pray for those who mentor, instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors and ministers. They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction.
The Tallest Finger - Our Leaders:
Pray for the prime minister, presidents, leaders in business and industry and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion. They need God's guidance.
The Ring Finger - Our Weakest (as many a piano teacher will testify):
It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain. They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.
The Little Finger - Our smallest:
Which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others. As the Bible says, 'The least shall be the greatest among you.' Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively. Should you find it hard to get to sleep tonight; just remember the homeless family who has no bed to lie in.

Praises for our past! When we look back and see how the Lord has led us through 2007, we can only look forward to 2010 with the greatest of expectations!
Our prayer of praise is that God will continue to bless Gospel Arts Manna and each one of its members, supporters and friends who continue to bring GAM before the Lord in prayer. Please do not weary in this great work that you do as we could not survive without your support and your prayers.
Over the last six years we have seen Gospel Arts manna develop from an internet support for churches to outreach program for the communities both local and abroad.
I have seen many students walk in for the first time and tell me they cannot sing but would love to try and sing gospel, become solo singers in their own right... Only God could have done this work and it is a wonder to be close to watch it all happen!
Praise the Lord!! 12 October 2009

Christian Resource ExhibitionWe are indeed thankful to the Lord for seeing us through our first display at the CRE in Esher this year and we are already asking for His guidance as to whether we will take part again in 2010.
We had a marvelous experience with other display staff and the Lord made a way for us to show some of the musical talents we have during that week on stage and during the book awards also.
There is indeed much to pray for and so we appreciate you joining with us in these prayers.

What a wonderful opportunity to share the words of the Lord through music.

Gospel Manna ShowcasePraise the Lord!
We held the Showcase at the Old Free School building and managed to get around 60 comfortable chairs in the main hall. We are pleased to report that the hall was full and the displays we had invited were beautifully arranged and so they were able to show their creativity to all who attended.
The food was GREAT with a wonderful variety of vegetarian creativities as well as traditional meat dishes!
A number of people still remember the taste of the banoffee pie... with its very tasty wholemeal base!
All in all we have already been asked to plan for another event in a bigger hall very soon so we need your prayers for guidance on that please.
Blessings

NEOThe trip to Rome was a success!
The New English Orchestra were rehearsing up to the morning of our flight to Italy, we knew once we arrived in Rome the concerts would begin and so it did.
We arrived at our hotel on Sunday evening and on Monday morning 11:00 was our first concert at the Pantheon... WOW what a superb building! People travelled from thousands of miles to sing in that unique place.
The week went by very quickly as we were doing 3 concerts a day of worship and praise through classics, contemporary and gospel songs.
Many people were touched and moved to tears. It was awesome to feel God’s Spirit move around such a building and to even momentarily ignore the conductor... I hope Nigel Swinford will forgive me... just to freely worship and bask in God’s glory.
We indeed both praise God for His traveling mercies and ask for prayers for the 2nd team who leave for Rome 2 next week. 12 October 2009
